Job Description
We are seeking a talented freelance graphic designer who also has a flair for marketing communications/social media. This role is project-based and remote with flexible hours, allowing you to partner with us on a gig-by-gig basis. You will be an important external, flexible, long-term asset to our team, delivering high-quality work under tight timelines. The ideal candidate should be available, responsive, and comfortable working independently after an initial alignment. This is a 1099 contractor position.
Requirements
Core Graphic Design Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for Mac OS
- Ability to read floor plans and finish plans
- Familiarity with Google Sheets
- Experience using Microsoft Teams
- Ability to use Dropbox
Core Marketing Skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Experience with installation slides, including photo editing
- Ability to create artist slides, including design and photo editing
- Experience with off-site slides showcasing marketing milestones
- Proficiency in setting up project slides per company standards
- Ability to create content for LinkedIn and Instagram
- Experience with email marketing e-blasts (MailChimp)
- Ability to create content that includes both text and visuals
- Experience managing MailChimp client list
What You’ll Do
- Edit digital files in Illustrator or Photoshop for art consulting firm clients
- Edit vector files
- Use Photoshop to edit photographic files meticulously
- Set up and create plaques that accompany art pieces
- Design montages
- Morph photographic landscape images into graphic designs using Illustrator
- Create custom graphics for various jobs
- Create vector graphics from scratch
- Develop custom graphic design art pieces based on client direction
- Create Photoshop custom graphics and digital illustrations
Portfolio Required
This is non-negotiable. Please submit your best work, including:
- Before and after examples of custom graphic manipulations/edits
- Examples of digital illustrations
- Any examples demonstrating tasks in the Core Graphic Design Skills, Core Marketing Skills, or What You’ll Do sections
