Job Description
Betches Media is seeking a creative and social media-savvy freelancer to enhance our podcast content on social media. This role revolves around curating and creating engaging content from podcast conversations and behind-the-scenes moments, collaborating closely with our hosts to convey the podcast’s personality in an engaging manner. The ideal candidate should be a sharp storyteller with a strong understanding of social platforms, capable of identifying highlights and creating shareable content to expand the podcast’s reach and impact. Collaboration across departments, including video, web, and editorial, is essential to ensure that social content supports the brand’s broader initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day social media content for the podcast, including clips, graphics, and interactive posts on Instagram, TikTok, and YT Shorts.
- Listen to episodes to identify the most engaging moments for social media.
- Collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to create compelling content that amplifies the show.
- Develop creative strategies to engage audiences on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YT Shorts.
- Oversee community engagement by responding to comments and messages in an on-brand voice.
- Brainstorm new formats and approaches for audience interaction and growth.
- Collaborate with all departments—video, web, and editorial—to share content across platforms and support broader initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in social media content creation and strategy.
- Creative thinker with the ability to experiment and iterate quickly.
- Comfortable working in-person at the NYC office.
- Strong understanding of audience engagement and content trends.
- Proven ability to create engaging video and static content for social platforms.
- Experience with tools like Canva and InShot is a plus.
- Experience creating engaging social content for a podcast is a plus.
