Job Description
The Graphic Designer will work directly with the Sr. Graphic Designer on the support and execution of the visual identity and its production related to TrackTown USA’s portfolio of events. This position will help develop and provide graphics, layouts, and visual content for TrackTown USA, The Prefontaine Classic, the World Athletics Under 20 Championships Oregon 26, and other assigned events. The Graphic Designer will manage seasonal production support staff responsible for application of design work, as well as a design intern.
Requirements
The employee will report to and be supervised by the Sr. Graphic Designer. The employee will be accountable for leading projects to which they are assigned.
Primary Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible for the following duties:
- Develop graphics, layouts, and visual content for print, digital, and other media, including social media graphics, website elements, marketing materials, and event branding.
- Adjust images, select fonts, and format text to align with design guidelines and established brand.
- Assist in brainstorming and developing creative ideas for design projects, including stadium dressing, merchandise design, and digital elements.
- Prepare artwork for print, packaging, and/or digital delivery.
- Source, collaborate, and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure best materials, pricing, and deliverables for projects.
- Manage projects and timelines with external vendors to ensure on-track asset delivery.
- Manage seasonal production support staff for installation, setup, and teardown of assets for events.
- Manage seasonal design intern, providing assignments and feedback to ensure design deliverable expectations are met.
- Maintain communication with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders for the production and handoff of deliverables.
- Receive and implement feedback from Supervisor and/or internal stakeholders to refine designs and ensure quality.
- Work closely with Sr. Graphic Designer, colleagues, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and contribute to the design process.
- Create effective operating plans for assigned functional areas, programs, and venues for assigned events.
- Deliver projects that meet (and hopefully exceed) the expected results on time and within budget.
- Establish, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on assigned projects.
- Recruit, train and manage the people necessary to deliver assigned projects.
- Develop and manage effective client relationships.
- Develop and manage effective supplier relationships.
- Provide leadership, management, motivation, and support to assigned project teams.
- Be responsible for all assigned project budgets from start to finish.
- Oversee applicable contracts and payment schedules.
- Ensure excellent customer service and quality delivery.
- Work all hours assigned, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

The employee will be given additional tasks, not previously mentioned, which are necessary to maintain the success of the company, or as directed by the employee’s Supervisor.
