Job Description

University in Baltimore is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Artist. The position is temporary until the end of 2025. The schedule is Tuesday to Wednesday, 9 am to 4 pm, and Thursday, 10 am to 4 pm.

The Graphic Artist will review layout and sketches of proposed illustrations with clients to determine the style, techniques, and medium best suited to produce desired effects. The role involves coordinating projects from conception to completion. Responsibilities include formulating concepts and creating illustrations from models, sketches, memory, and imagination. The artist will also perform production activities such as composition, layout, and paste-up, as well as design and prepare models, three-dimensional exhibits, and displays. Ensuring adequate supplies, materials, and equipment are maintained is also part of the role, along with performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate Degree (Required)

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in production activities such as composition, layout, and paste-up (Required)
• 2 years of experience in designing, preparing, or assembling models (Required)
• 2 years of experience in creating three-dimensional exhibits and displays (Required)
• 2 years of experience in reviewing layout and sketches of proposed illustrations (Required)
• 2 years of experience in formulating concepts and creating illustrations (Required)
• 2 years of experience in creating illustrations by drawings and sketching (Required)
