Job Description

Mott MacDonald is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to support transportation planning projects for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). This part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute visually compelling content that enhances client deliverables and supports strategic communications.

Responsibilities include:

• Design logos, icons, and visual branding elements for transportation planning initiatives.
• Create stylistic maps, infographics, and illustrations to support planning documents and presentations.
• Format PowerPoint slides, report covers, and other deliverables with professional visual design.
• Collaborate with planning and engineering teams to translate technical content into engaging visuals.
• Ensure consistency and quality across all graphic materials.

Requirements

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other industry-standard graphic design software (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign).
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including maps, reports, and branding.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Experience in transportation, urban planning, or infrastructure-related projects is a plus.
