Job Description

At GDIT, as a Social Media Analyst specializing in Dari, Farsi, and/or Pashto, you will contribute to ensuring safety and intelligence for the future. The position is based in Tampa, FL, and involves covering regional focus, culture, or language to support a specific program.

Responsibilities:

• Provide language-specific social media subject matter expertise, continuous monitoring, expert analysis, and assessment of various online media sources.
• Gather information on trends and events to create media synopsis reports and assess relevant social media discourse.
• Produce predictive recommendations and identify operational opportunities.
• Utilize analytical tools and processes to generate historical and predictive representations of relevant entities.
• Research, synthesize, and evaluate information to prepare reports of analysis with recommendations for senior leaders.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; experience may substitute for degree.
• Experience: 3+ years’ experience in social/new media engagement, cultural understanding, linguistic skills, and geo-political knowledge.
• Security clearance level: Active DoD Secret clearance required; candidates will be submitted for TS/SCI clearance.
• Skills and abilities: Ability to monitor industry and technology trends and assess media products and communications effectively.
• Location: Customer Site in Tampa, FL.
