Job Description

We are seeking a creative, tech-savvy Part-Time Social Media & Content Assistant to showcase the charm of Stockbridge Country Inn online. This role is specifically for local residents of the Berkshires and involves managing our social platforms, blog, and newsletter to drive engagement and bookings using AI tools for content creation efficiency. The position is part-time (5-10 hours per week) with flexible scheduling and occasional evenings or weekends for posting or on-site visits. Ideal candidates are locals from Stockbridge, Lenox, Great Barrington, or nearby areas.

Requirements

• Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube).
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, or similar) for content creation, writing, or editing.
• Basic skills in Canva or similar for visuals; familiarity with simple video editing (e.g., CapCut).
• Strong eye for the Berkshires’ aesthetic and knowledge of local attractions.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with a smartphone and internet.
• Local to the Berkshires (within driving distance of Stockbridge).
• 1+ years in social media or content creation a plus, but enthusiasm and quick learning are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation with AI Tools:
• Draft SEO-optimized blog posts (1/week) on relevant topics using AI platforms, including 3 internal links and 2-3 images per post.
• Generate captions, hashtags, and short-form content for social media using AI.
• Cross-promote blog posts on social channels and manage indexing through Google Search Console.
• Social Media Management:
• Post on Facebook & Instagram (3 posts/week combined), including guest highlights and special offers.
• Manage Pinterest (2-3 posts/week) with evergreen content descriptions linking to the website.
• Create TikTok videos (1 video/week) and YouTube videos (1 video/month) using AI tools.
• Draft and send a monthly newsletter using AI with links and seasonal offers.
• Engage with the community through responding to comments/messages and using branded hashtags.
• Maintain content calendar and review basic analytics monthly.
• Collaborate with innkeepers and visit the inn for content creation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $18-$22/hour based on experience.
