Job Description

The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is seeking a talented part-time, temporary Graphic Designer for its Marketing and Public Relations team. The position involves managing the final stages of design projects, which includes tasks such as formatting and resizing graphics, color corrections, layout editing, error-checking, and file optimization for various platforms. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Two to three years of experience in graphic design.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Experience with Project Management Software (Asana, Trello, etc.).
• Strong self-starter, capable of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with an advertising agency.
• Experience in designing ad creatives for digital displays, paid social media, web, print, and marketing materials.
• Graphic design experience with a design firm, public relations firm, or an educational institution.
