The work we do genuinely changes lives. Ting is looking for a versatile Video Editor and Motion Content Creator to help shape how we bring our brand to life across digital platforms. This hybrid role combines creative video production, motion design, and short-form content creation, responsible for producing a wide range of video content— from polished explainer videos and tutorials to scroll-stopping social assets. The ideal candidate will have a blend of storytelling, design, technical skill, and a strong understanding of current digital trends. This is a 6-month contract with opportunity for extension.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in video editing, motion design, or content production (in-house, agency, or freelance)
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop
• Hands-on experience creating for social platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Runway, Firefly, ChatGPT, or similar platforms
• Strong storytelling abilities with a keen eye for pacing, rhythm, and visual composition
• Ability to manage feedback cycles and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Bonus: Experience with Figma, Notion, CMS platforms, or digital asset libraries

What You’ll Do

Video Production & Editing

• Film, edit, and produce high-quality videos for various channels, including web, social media, and internal communications
• Execute polished edits in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and similar software
• Create and animate motion graphics that enhance storytelling and align with Ting’s brand
• Repurpose existing footage (Zoom calls, webinars, screen recordings) into engaging short-form content

Social-First Video Creation

• Produce short-form videos tailored for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms
• Adapt long-form or technical content into concise, engaging formats for social audiences
• Apply native editing techniques, captions, sound design, and transitions to enhance shareability

Creative Collaboration

• Work closely with brand, marketing, and design teams to conceptualize and execute video content aligned with campaign goals
• Participate in creative brainstorms, planning meetings, and project reviews
• Maintain and evolve brand visual identity through motion and video

AI & Content Systems

• Utilize generative AI tools (e.g., Runway, ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio) to accelerate creative development
• QA AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with brand voice
• Help develop scalable content templates, reusable assets, and efficient production workflows

Project & Asset Management

• Manage multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Organize and archive assets for cross-functional use
• Ensure accessibility and brand compliance across all produced materials

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000. Other compensation may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications. Tucows believes in a total rewards offering that includes fair compensation and generous benefits.
