Job Description

As a part of the Software Development & Support (Digital) team, your primary responsibilities will include designing and conducting user research in compliance with the design thinking process, converting research findings and user feedback into actionable tasks, ideating features, developing intuitive user interfaces from wireframes to interactive prototypes, and collaborating with project stakeholders. You will also maintain files for developer handoff, support the development of design systems and style guides, and ensure that implementations follow web standards and best practices in accessibility and usability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• Minimum of TWO (2) years experience with a portfolio demonstrating research and UX/UI design skills
• Experience in design software such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe Design Suite, etc.
• Knowledge of human-computer interaction and usability design principles
• Strong experience with User Research techniques and data collection methods
• Familiarity with responsive web design techniques
• Ability to follow an existing style guide and knowledge of design systems
• Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3 for design handoff
• Understanding of Section 508 and WCAG compliance
• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple projects and timelines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary Information

The annual salary range for this position is $61,000.00-$101,000.00, with compensation based on skill sets, experience, security clearances, and other organizational needs.
