Your After School provides fun, enriching, and safe after-school experiences for k-5 school students. We’re looking for a creative social media partner — ideally an individual freelancer or small business — to help manage, grow, and engage our online community.

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For:

• Runs their own social media business or freelancing practice and wants an ongoing client relationship.
• Has experience managing social accounts for local small businesses, nonprofits, schools, or community programs.
• Is creative, reliable, and comfortable working independently but collaboratively.
• Can capture our tone: positive, community-minded, and youth-focused.
• Has an eye for visual storytelling — from event photos to short videos and reels.
• Understands analytics and can translate data into action.
• Communicates clearly and meets deadlines.

Scope of Work

The partner will be tasked with:

• Developing a consistent, engaging social media strategy that reflects our voice, values, and programs.
• Creating and scheduling content (photo, video, and written posts) for Facebook and Instagram (and possibly TikTok or LinkedIn).
• Showcasing our programs, highlighting staff and students, sharing updates, and celebrating our community.
• Managing engagement — responding to messages, comments, and mentions.
• Providing monthly performance reports and creative recommendations.
• Staying current on social trends and keeping content fun, authentic, and relevant.

Deliverables

• Monthly content calendar (for review/approval).
• 8–12 posts per month (mix of photo, video, and story content).
• Monthly report summarizing reach, engagement, and key insights.
• Optional: Paid ad setup or boosted posts management.
• Monthly meeting or check-in to review performance and plan new content.

Contract & Timeline

• Initial term: 3 months, renewable upon mutual agreement.
• Workload: 30-40 hours per month (flexible).
• Location: Mostly remote; occasional on-site in Madison.
• Compensation: Please include your proposed monthly retainer or hourly rate in your proposal.
