Job Description

Are you a sparky, detailed, big-hearted social media aficionado with a knack for social engagement? Do you have a passion for crafting compelling narratives that captivate audiences? If so, come and be the Social Media Manager at Dishoom! Please note this is a fixed-term maternity cover role (9-12 months).

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Oversee our presence on all major social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok, pushing out engaging, story-led content and playful, social-first tactics.
• Manage freelance videographers and serve as the main point of contact, providing direction and feedback.
• Collaborate to create a dynamic social calendar supporting overall marketing strategy.
• Work closely with Guest Services on community management, helping address customer inquiries and feedback.
• Contribute to photography and videography shoots, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality deliverables.
• Create compelling content using an iPhone, adapting to trends that align with our brand values.
• Craft and edit on-brand copy for all posts across various platforms.
• Manage social media budgets and optimize spend.
• Curate UGC and manage stories showcasing activities in Dishoom cafes.
• Analyze social media metrics and prepare performance reports.
• Support the Head of PR, Social and Partnerships on an ad hoc basis with ideas for collaborations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience running social media, ideally in food, drink, or hospitality.
• Proven track record of sparking engagement through impactful content.
• Natural storyteller with a sharp creative eye, attuned to resonating imagery and ideas.
• Clear and warm communicator who enjoys building relationships across teams.
• Calm under pressure, able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in social tools and analytics; comfortable with data and creative ideation.
• Hands-on and collaborative, eager to work as part of a team creating brilliant content.
• Enthusiastic about food and drink, with an interest in South Asian culture.
• Experience working with agencies, guiding them with clarity and kindness.
• Tenacious, entrepreneurial, and energized by a creative, non-corporate environment.
