Job Description

We’re looking for a Freelance Social Media Manager I Strategist in New York who understands that effective social media is all about storytelling. Your role will involve creating content for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Substack, and YouTube. This is freelance work with flexible hours, making it ideal for those who are passionate about storytelling and desire the freedom to showcase their best skills.

Requirements

Must Have:

• 3+ years of experience in social media strategy and management
• Experience working with beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or hospitality brands
• Ability to build a content strategy and oversee its execution
• Understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Substack and how they function
• Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and plan accordingly
• Knowledge of platform trends and audience behaviors
• Proficiency with social media scheduling tools and analytics interpretation
• Experience in managing social accounts and fostering community engagement
• Background in collaborating with creative teams (capable of directing but not creating content)
• Based in London, UK (mostly remote, with occasional meet-ups)

• Experience in a Creative Agency
• Capability of managing multiple client accounts

• Background in marketing, communications, or brand strategy
