Job Description

Are you a sparky, detailed, big-hearted social media aficionado with a knack for social engagement? Do you have a passion for crafting compelling narratives that captivate audiences? If yes, come and be the Social Media Manager at Dishoom! Please note this is a fixed-term maternity cover role (9-12 months).

You will oversee our presence on all major social media platforms, focusing on Instagram and TikTok. You’ll be responsible for creating story-led content, engaging with our audience, and collaborating with the team to support our marketing strategy. Your duties include managing freelance videographers, community management, contributing to content shoots, crafting on-brand copy, managing social media budgets, and analyzing performance metrics.

Requirements

• 3-5 years running social media (ideally in food, drink, or hospitality).
• Proven track record of sparking engagement and creating impactful content.
• Natural storyteller with a creative eye for resonating imagery and ideas.
• Clear communicator who thrives in collaborative environments.
• Able to manage multiple priorities calmly and cheerfully in a fast-paced setting.
• Fluent in social tools and analytics; comfortable with data and creative idea generation.
• Hands-on, team-oriented, and loves creating brilliant content together.
• Genuine interest in food and drink, with curiosity about South Asian culture.
• Experience guiding agencies with clarity and kindness.
• Tenacious, entrepreneurial, and energized by a creative, non-corporate environment.
