Job Description

Freelance Social Media & Comms Manager – Edinburgh Narrative Mastery is a London-based creative consultancy working in film production and branding. We’re looking for a creative, reliable freelance Social Media & Communications Manager to help shape the online presence of Ciao Roma, a much-loved, independent Italian restaurant in central Edinburgh.

Ciao Roma is known for handmade pasta, award-winning ice cream, and its warm, quirky interiors. We want someone who can help us bring that charm to life on social media through vibrant, engaging content.

• Part-time, freelance (starting at 1 day/week)

• Must be Edinburgh-based – this role includes weekly visits to the restaurant

• Ideal for someone with a passion for content creation, hospitality, and storytelling

Requirements

• You live in Edinburgh and can be at the restaurant regularly

• You’re confident shooting/editing content (Reels, stories, photos) on your phone

• You love food, hospitality, and small businesses

• You’re detail-oriented, responsive, and self-motivated

• You have a good eye for design, colour, and tone

• You’re open to feedback and enjoy working with a Creative Director

Responsibilities

• Visit the restaurant weekly to shoot short-form video & photo content

• Create and schedule posts across Instagram and Facebook

• Keep our audience updated on specials, events & team moments

• Monitor and respond to messages and booking enquiries

• Manage the info@ inbox, forwarding job applications and PR enquiries

• Help shape and maintain a playful, consistent brand tone and visual style
