Job Description

Barns & Co is a design practice led by Creative Director and Designer Barns Furr. With over a decade of experience across luxury, lifestyle, and tech, Barns Furr has collaborated with notable brands including Adidas, Dyson, Google, YouTube, and more. The studio specializes in visual identity, digital design, and operates as a flexible setup where Barns leads the creative direction and engages trusted collaborators to deliver refined creative work. We are seeking a mid-senior freelance designer to support ongoing brand and digital projects that encompass UI, layout, and brand rollout, delivering polished, design-led output.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

• Strong Figma skills.
• Excellent eye for typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy, alongside a passion for design principles.
• An understanding of designing visual identities.
• Ability to pick up an established aesthetic and run with it.
• Fast, tidy, and reliable execution.
• Experience in design-led industries: luxury, lifestyle, or tech is a bonus.
• Calm communication and clean file organization.
• A thoughtful approach to design, caring about the reasoning behind choices and designing intentionally, not just decoratively.

Additional Information

The typical tasks for this role include:

• UI/Web design across desktop and mobile.
• Creating social graphics, web assets, and presentation decks.
• Rolling out brand elements across digital touchpoints.
• Ad hoc design tasks such as layout tweaks and tidy-ups based on client feedback.
