Job Description

Freelance Social Media & Communications Manager – Edinburgh Narrative Mastery is a London-based creative consultancy working in film production and branding. We’re looking for a creative, reliable freelance Social Media & Communications Manager to help shape the online presence of Ciao Roma, a much-loved, independent Italian restaurant in central Edinburgh. Ciao Roma is known for handmade pasta, award-winning ice cream, and its warm, quirky interiors. We want someone who can help us bring that charm to life on social media through vibrant, engaging content.

- Part-time, freelance (starting at 1 day/week)

- Must be Edinburgh-based – this role includes weekly visits to the restaurant

- Ideal for someone with a passion for content creation, hospitality, and storytelling

Requirements

- You live in Edinburgh and can be at the restaurant regularly

- You’re confident shooting/editing content (Reels, stories, photos) on your phone

- You love food, hospitality, and small businesses

- You’re detail-oriented, responsive, and self-motivated

- You have a good eye for design, colour, and tone

- You’re open to feedback and enjoy working with a Creative Director

Additional Information

What You’ll Do:

- Visit the restaurant weekly to shoot short-form video & photo content

- Create and schedule posts across Instagram and Facebook

- Keep our audience updated on specials, events & team moments

- Monitor and respond to messages and booking inquiries

- Manage the info@ inbox, forwarding job applications and PR inquiries

- Help shape and maintain a playful, consistent brand tone and visual style
