Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, data-driven Remote Social Media Manager to own and amplify the voice of our brand across every major platform. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, you will collaborate with product, sales, and customer success teams to craft compelling narratives that inspire engagement, drive qualified leads, and strengthen our digital community. You will be responsible for translating strategic goals into measurable growth while championing the unique culture of our remote-first organization.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field **or** equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Social Media Manager, Social Media Specialist, or Digital Community Manager for B2B or SaaS brands.
  • Proven track record of scaling social audiences by at least 30% YoY and delivering a minimum 2.5% engagement rate on core platforms.
  • Mastery of social management tools: Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, Later, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong analytical background: comfortable building reports in Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager; ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategy.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a knack for tailoring tone of voice to distinct platform audiences.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote environment, maintains reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download), and possesses a dedicated workstation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Meta Blueprint, Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ), or HubSpot Social Media Certification.
  • Experience managing social initiatives for a company headquartered in Lake in the Hills village, Illinois or with a strong regional presence.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar agile project-management tools for sprint planning and task tracking.
  • Background in community management for niche professional groups.
  • Demonstrated leadership: have led a team of 3+ social media coordinators or interns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop quarterly social media calendars that align with product launches, seasonal campaigns, and sales targets.
  • Produce and schedule 15–20 high-impact posts per week across major social media platforms.
  • Act as the primary community manager, responding to comments, DMs, and mentions within a 2-hour SLA.
  • Build, launch, and optimize ad budgets on Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Generate weekly performance dashboards and present insights to senior leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to repurpose existing content into social media-friendly formats.
  • Conduct competitor audits and social listening to identify real-time content opportunities.
  • Lead the response protocol for brand-related issues, coordinating with PR and Legal.
  • Document standard operating procedures and automate recurring tasks to increase team efficiency.
  • Onboard junior social media coordinators and interns, providing training and workshops.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $85,000 – $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and proven impact.
