Job Description
NAMI Illinois is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer or Illustrator to support our youth mental health program, Superpower Strategies. This contractor will develop original artwork, branding assets, and design templates that are child-friendly, engaging, and aligned with our mission.
Responsibilities
This contractor will:
- Create custom illustrated assets, including:
- Children’s Emotions Wheel
- Four Superhero Characters
- Child Superhero Body Outline for activities
- Fillable “Trusted Adults” graphic for worksheets
- Design a brand kit and logo
- Develop a reusable Canva template for program flyers
- Deliver all assets in high-resolution and vector formats
- Collaborate with NAMI Illinois staff and implement feedback within the project scope
Requirements
- Strong illustration and graphic design skills with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar illustration tools
- Experience designing youth-focused or nonprofit materials preferred
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly
