Job Description

We’re Localito – the marketplace built to save Britain’s high streets. No chains. No warehouses. No delivery vans. Just real independent shops, real Manchester people, and a zero-emission way for customers to shop local and collect the same day. We launch Q1 2026, and we need one fired-up social media human to make Manchester fall in love with us before we even go live.

Your Job = Pure Hype & Heart. You’ll own every platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube Shorts – whatever works) and turn our story into a movement:

  • Make Manchester scroll-stop and shout “FINALLY!”
  • Turn independent retailers into heroes and get them racing to claim their free trial
  • Make shoppers desperate for their £10 launch credit
  • Hit 10,000+ waitlist sign-ups before we launch
  • Make “Support your local business” the loudest conversation in the city

What you’ll actually do every day:

  • Create addictive short videos of real Manchester shop owners telling their story
  • Run viral challenges (#MyLocalito, #SaveOurHighStreet, #SupportYourLocalBusiness)
  • Write captions that make people feel something
  • Post 7 days a week across every platform (we move fast)
  • Reply to every comment and DM like a human who cares
  • Work with local influencers, micro-influencers, and actual shop dogs
  • Run £10–£50/day ads that convert like crazy
  • Track everything and double down on what works

Requirements

  • Obsessed with independent shops and the fight to save high streets
  • A natural storyteller who can make a 15-second Reel get 100k views
  • Comfortable being the loud, proud voice of a mission bigger than any brand
  • Based in (or deeply in love with) Manchester/Northern culture
  • Experienced running multi-platform growth (portfolio required)
  • Able to work autonomously but loves daily voice-note check-ins
  • Available to start in December
