Job Description

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The Web Design and User Experience Specialist role is a full-time position based in Palo Alto, CA or available remotely. The position involves using proprietary tools to label, annotate, and evaluate AI-generated web layouts, reviewing and refining AI outputs, collaborating with technical teams, providing feedback on designs, applying current design trends, and supporting the continuous improvement of internal tools and processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in web design or a related creative discipline
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design taste, layout precision, and user experience insight
  • Deep understanding of color theory, typography, visual hierarchy, and responsive design principles
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and creative problem-solving ability
  • Commitment to advancing AI capabilities in design and digital aesthetics

Preferred:

  • Experience in UI/UX design, front-end development, or creative roles at design or technology companies
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and interaction design fundamentals

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive pay ranging from $90,000 to $200,000 annually for U.S.-based professionals, depending on experience and location. International pay ranges are provided based on location and experience. Benefits may vary by country, and depending on your location, you may be eligible for medical coverage.
