Phoenix Support Services is seeking an experienced and creative video editor to join our team! You will be responsible for creating short promo videos using a software drag and drop platform.
The Video Editor works as part of the Web Development Team and reports to the Team Manager. His specific tasks include:
- Design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials;
- Create these materials by hand or using technology, including software programs;
- Collaborate with web designers to understand their proposed web pages and incorporate illustrations, videos, and designs to match the desired theme;
- Produce drafts for client review and make revisions based on feedback;
- Check final productions for errors and ensure they meet client specifications;
- Conceptualize visuals based on design briefs;
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas;
- Use appropriate colors and layouts for videos;
- Work with copywriters and a creative director to finalize designs;
- Revise designs after receiving feedback;
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand;
- Create and develop multimedia content for various purposes including promotional and training videos;
- Work independently and as a team to establish project deliverables;
- Record and edit video and sound projects, managing all aspects of media organization and final output.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience as a graphics designer or in a similar role;
- Mastery of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premier Pro, etc.;
- Knowledge of video and audio editing software programs is a big plus;
- Solid understanding of design and visual principles;
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing creative, design, and software skills;
- Ability to critically evaluate choices with a customer-focused mindset;
- Clear communication of design choices;
- Ability to follow direction while having a creative perspective for improvements;
- Good time-management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities and ability to work under pressure;
- General understanding of computers and digital equipment, along with knowledge of new technology.
