Job Description

Outlier, owned and operated by Scale AI, is committed to improving the intelligence & safety of AI models. We work with contributors from all over the world who help improve AI models by providing expert human feedback. Our contributors provide valuable, specialized skills through a remote work platform, while we strive to ensure a positive experience based on reliability, transparency, and flexibility. We seek native English speakers to help train and refine cutting-edge AI systems by adopting a “user mindset” and producing natural data. You will evaluate AI outputs, review and rank problem-solving responses from large language models, and contribute to various projects based on your expertise.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher (or currently enrolled).

Skills:

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to develop complex, professional-level prompts and evaluate nuanced AI reasoning.
• Strong Writing: Clear, concise, and engaging writing to explain decisions or critique responses.
• Commitment to accuracy and ability to assess technical aspects of model outputs.
• Experience in fields such as literature, creative writing, history, philosophy, theology, etc.
• Prior writing or editorial experience (content strategist, technical writer, editor, etc.).
• Interest or background in AI, machine learning, or creative tech tools.

Additional Information

Earn up to $15 USD/hr, paid out weekly. Rates vary based on quality, accuracy, and time spent. Interaction with leading large language models is free of cost. Experts typically spend 5-10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours from home. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and celebrate diversity in our workforce. Note: For non-core work, such as during initial project onboarding or project overtime phases, lower rates may apply, and certain projects may offer incentive payments.
