Norwalk, CT based client looking to hire a Temp Graphic Designer
This position requires at least 40 hours per week, starting ASAP through February, with the possibility of extension. As a Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand image and enhancing the online shopping experience for customers. Your responsibilities will include creating visually appealing and engaging graphics to effectively convey the brand’s message, promote products, and contribute to the growth of online sales channels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Graphic Design: Conceptualize, design, and produce creative digital assets for online platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, digital advertisements, and product listings.

2. Brand Consistency: Work with Marketing and Branding teams to maintain brand consistency across all digital platforms.

3. Ecommerce Product Imagery: Create high-quality product images and optimize them for website loading times and mobile responsiveness.

4. User Experience: Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the e-commerce platform design and functionality, creating user-friendly interfaces.

5. Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends and design innovations to improve digital assets quality.

6. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of design projects.

7. Quality Control: Ensure that all graphics meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

8. Image Editing and Retouching: Manipulate and enhance images for improved visual appeal.

9. Project Management: Manage multiple design projects, adhering to deadlines and maintaining open communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer in an ecommerce or retail environment.

• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

• Knowledge and experience with Figma and Canvas a plus.

• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.

• Ability to conceptualize and bring ideas to life through creative design solutions.

• Knowledge of best practices for web design, mobile optimization, and responsive design.

• Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and their design requirements is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

• A portfolio showcasing previous design projects and creativity.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
