Job Description
Lectores para el Futuro, Inc. (“Lectores”) is seeking qualified Instructional Designers to support the development, digitalization, and implementation of their Structured Literacy Training Program (Orton-Gillingham in Spanish). The engagement will be a professional services contract covering the period from contract signature date through October 31, 2026, or until all required deliverables are completed—whichever occurs first.
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to develop engaging, effective learning experiences for diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in instructional design, learning technology, and multimedia content development to create innovative training materials and curricula.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design or Educational Technology.
- Demonstrated experience (portfolio or demo required) in curriculum design and multimedia development.
- Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Advanced proficiency in Canvas LMS.
- Experience in hybrid/online course design and multimedia integration.
- Experience working with K–12 educators preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred.
Scope of Work
Course Development
Design and develop instructional materials for online, in-person, and blended formats. Create course maps, learning outcomes, assessments, and instructor guides aligned to all program tracks (I-III).
Collaboration with Subject-Matter Experts
Work with master instructors and SMEs to refine content and ensure alignment with Structured Literacy and Orton-Gillingham methodology in Spanish. Translate expert-level content into structured instructional modules.
Instructional Design & Pedagogical Application
Apply proven ID models (ADDIE, SAM, UDL, backward design). Develop high-quality, accessible learning experiences that meet WCAG2.1 standards.
Multimedia Production
Produce interactive elements, videos, infographics, and digital learning assets. Use authoring tools such as Articulate, H5P, and multimedia production tools.
Canvas LMS Build-Out
Construct full course shells within Canvas LMS for all tracks. Build assignments, quizzes, multimedia embeds, and structured modules. Ensure strong UX, logical sequencing, and analytics integration.
Quality Assurance & Improvement
Conduct testing of modules, run pilot cycles, and incorporate feedback from instructors, trainees, and stakeholders. Maintain documentation, version control, and update logs.
Deliverables
Deliverables include, but are not limited to:
- Course maps and curriculum outlines for tracks I–III
- Fully built Canvas LMS course shells
- Instructor and participant guides
- Multimedia instructional assets
- Accessibility compliance documentation
- Pilot feedback summary and revisions
- Monthly progress updates
- A final set of completed and tested instructional materials by July 30th, 2026.
