Job Description

We’re hiring a detail-obsessed Freelance Designer to turn our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) content into a polished, easy-to-follow Google Slides deck that will serve as the foundation for an SOP book / operations manual. We will provide all written content—your job is to bring it to life visually with clean layouts, strong hierarchy, and a consistent system that’s easy to update as we grow.

This is a freelance, project-based role with clear deliverables, feedback rounds, and a focus on creating a professional training-ready document that looks great and reads even better.

Responsibilities

• Design a cohesive, branded Google Slides SOP deck from provided content (procedures, checklists, policies, workflows).
• Create a consistent visual system: cover, section dividers, page templates, callout styles, icons, tables, and checklist formats.
• Apply strong information design: clear headings, spacing, typography, and visual hierarchy for fast reading and training use.
• Build slides that are editable and scalable (using styles, master slides, and reusable components).
• Collaborate through feedback cycles to refine layout, pacing, and clarity.
• Ensure final deck is organized, consistently formatted, and export-ready (PDF if needed).

Requirements

• Proven experience designing Google Slides (or PowerPoint with the ability to execute in Google Slides) for business documents such as SOPs, training decks, playbooks, brand guidelines, or pitch decks.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating clean layout, typography, and structured document design (not just posters/social graphics).
• Skilled in visual hierarchy, grid systems, and converting dense text into clear, digestible slides.
• Comfortable designing templates and systems that other team members can update without breaking formatting.
• Excellent communication, responsiveness, and ability to hit deadlines.

Nice to Have

• Experience with operations manuals, training materials, employee handbooks, or process documentation.
• Light brand development skills (refining fonts/colors/styles into a consistent deck look).
• Iconography, diagram, and process flow design experience.

Deliverables (Typical)

• A complete Google Slides SOP deck using reusable templates + consistent styling
• Section divider system + table/checklist formats
• Optional: exported PDF version
