Job Description

We are seeking a Freelance Designer who can own design end-to-end through strategy, UX, UI, responsive design, light branding, and dev-ready handoff. The engagement will start with a paid test or small project, and upon success, there is potential for future engagements leading to steady cooperation. This is a freelance contractor position on a project basis, and the role will be remote with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Translate business goals and briefs into IA, user flows, and wireframes.
• Create high-fidelity UI designs in Figma with components, variants, responsive logic, and dev annotations.
• Establish visual direction including moodboards, style tiles, typography systems, color tokens, icons, and simple illustrations.
• Deliver brand-level outputs when required such as light identity, logo refinements, usage guidelines, and social assets.
• Design for conversion, accessibility, and performance with an awareness of WCAG 2.2.
• Prepare dev-ready specs/exports and collaborate through build and QA phases.
• Iterate quickly based on feedback while maintaining organized and well-documented files.

Required Qualifications

• A portfolio demonstrating custom websites across industries, showcasing concept thinking, processes, and results.
• Expertise in Figma, including auto-layout, components, variants, styles, grids, constraints, prototypes, and structured pages.
• Strong fundamentals in UX, including IA, content hierarchy, conversion patterns, mobile-first design, and usability.
• Branding capability, including visual direction, typography, color systems, and iconography.
• Experience in responsive & interaction design, covering states, micro-interactions, transitions, and feedback loops.
• Basic understanding of accessibility standards, including contrast, focus states, and keyboard navigation.
• Proficiency in handoff practices, including naming conventions, specifications, exports, and notes; comfortable collaborating during QA.
• Fluency in English for daily client and team communications.
• Reliable, proactive, and deadline-driven work ethic.

• Familiarity with CRO/GA4/Hotjar, UX research, and A/B testing basics.
• Experience with light motion design (After Effects/Lottie).
• Skills in icon design, simple 2D illustration, or photo direction.
