Job Description

Hydrate28 is seeking a freelance graphic designer to assist in executing website design, page layout, and web-ready creative across their Shopify site. The designer will translate brand direction into clean, conversion-friendly layouts and graphics that are contemporary, premium, and easy to shop.

Requirements

What You’ll Work On

• Website layout and visual design for key pages (Home, Product, Phase Education pages, About, FAQ, Landing pages)
• Design systems for sections (multi-column sections, icon + text blocks, callout banners, comparison sections, ingredient highlights)
• Web graphics creation (hero treatments, product callouts, phase badges/markers, iconography, trust markers, infographics)
• Design handoff for build: deliver organized assets for Shopify implementation (desktop + mobile considerations)
• Light creative direction support: refine visual hierarchy, spacing, readability, and UX polish while staying on-brand

Deliverables

• Page/section designs in Canva or Adobe (with clear specs)
• Exported assets optimized for web (SVG/PNG/WebP as appropriate)
• Basic style guidance for consistent use (spacing, type scale, button styles, icon usage)
• Mobile-aware layout recommendations (design responsibly, no need for full UX designer skills)

Brand & Style Requirements (Non-negotiables)

• Modern, trend-aware wellness aesthetic (bold + warm, not sterile)
• Clean typography and strong layout hierarchy
• Ability to work within earth-toned palette cues (greens/blues/beiges) while keeping it fresh
• Target audience: women 18–40, wellness-focused, active, professional

Ideal Experience

• Strong portfolio featuring Shopify/e-commerce layout work
• Comfort designing for conversion: above-the-fold clarity, product storytelling, clean CTAs
• Strong taste level for modern brands (e.g., Glossier, Skims, Poppi-type clarity & polish)

Tools

• Canva
• Adobe CC (Illustrator/Photoshop) as needed
• Familiarity with Shopify section constraints is a plus (no coding needed)

Working Style

• Project-based with ongoing support as needed
• Clear milestones, fast feedback loops, and organized files
• Ability to propose 2–3 layout directions when necessary and refine based on feedback
