Job Description

This freelance role is for an experienced Social Media Manager who can step in quickly and take ownership of social media activity end to end. You will support a brand or agency on a contract basis, delivering consistent, high-quality social output while aligning closely with existing strategy and objectives. The role is hands-on and execution-focused, ideal for someone confident managing social channels independently while collaborating with wider marketing, creative, or client teams. Flexibility, reliability, and strong organisational skills are essential.


Requirements

Proven experience managing social media accounts for brands or agencies.

Strong understanding of platform best practices and content formats.

Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.

Confident using scheduling and analytics tools.

Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.

Experience creating or briefing short-form video content is highly desirable.

Data-aware, with the ability to interpret performance metrics and act on insights.


What You’ll Be Doing

Manage day-to-day social media activity across key platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.

Plan, schedule, and publish content in line with agreed content calendars and campaign priorities.

Create and adapt social-first content, including short-form video, static posts, and captions.

Maintain a consistent brand tone of voice across all platforms.

Monitor comments, messages, and mentions, supporting community management where required.

Respond quickly to trends, cultural moments, and reactive opportunities where appropriate.

Track performance and report on key metrics such as engagement, reach, and growth.

Proactively suggest optimisations and content ideas based on performance insights.

Collaborate with internal teams, clients, or external creatives to ensure smooth delivery.
