Job Description

We are seeking a skilled graphic designer to oversee graphic design for Health In Harmony (HIH). The designer will utilize existing brand guidelines and collaborate closely with the communications lead and associate. The role involves creating graphic design assets for all communication channels.

Health In Harmony is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing the loss of tropical rainforests to combat global heating and nature’s collapse. Partnering with Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and Afro-descendant Peoples, HIH supports community-designed solutions. Currently, HIH works with 235,000 community members to protect nearly 4 million hectares of tropical rainforest across Panama, Madagascar, Brazil, DRC, and Indonesia. The organization aims to expand globally to safeguard half of the world’s remaining rainforests. Requirements

Project Title: Graphic Design (short term contract: Jan or Feb - June or July)

Skills Required:

• Proficient in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Ability to create high-quality design content on Google Suite/Presentations.
• Experience in creating pitch decks or presentations.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Ability to create custom infographics and visual data representations.
• Copywriting skills are ideal for assisting with text elements.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility with shifting priorities.

This role includes responsibilities such as branding adherence, collaboration with the MarComms team, and the creation of various assets including invites, decks, social media graphics, and more. Portfolio of recent projects will be requested to demonstrate graphic design skills.

Timeline & Availability

Availability must be within 3 hours of the Pacific Time Zone, ideally allowing for daily responsiveness. The contractor is expected to have availability during standard work hours from Monday to Friday, with potential evening/weekend availability for urgent projects.

Hours: 15 hours a week or 60 hours a month.
