Job Description
Dot Furniture, a leading Canadian retailer in indoor and outdoor furniture, is looking for a Part-time Graphic Designer. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our marketing and design team to create visually appealing content that showcases our products and enhances our brand identity. You will also conduct research into furniture design, trends, materials, and more to inform your creative decisions. This position reports to the Design Lead.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the creation of digital and print marketing materials, including in-store POP, social media graphics, website banners, and email campaigns.
• Assist in modifying content on the website through the company’s CMS.
• Collaborate with the design team to develop and refine design concepts.
• Help maintain and update the company’s visual content library.
• Support the marketing team in executing promotional campaigns.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide fresh ideas for visual content.
• Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.
• Understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for design and an interest in the furniture industry.
• Strong proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with video editing and animation (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Familiarity with web design and user experience principles.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
• Photography experience asset including the use of DSLR cameras and photo editing software.
