Job Description

Skylar Racing Inc. is a fast-growing live auction and e-commerce brand in the retro gaming space, running daily live streams, large-scale events, and evolving content across multiple platforms. We are seeking an experienced Content Manager to take ownership of our video content from idea to execution. This role involves planning, shooting, editing, and posting both short-form and long-form video content that promotes upcoming events, drives engagement to our live streams, and documents the growth of the business. It’s a hands-on, execution-heavy role requiring a self-starter who can identify opportunities and create content independently.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, edit, and post short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) consistently
  • Manage long-form video projects (YouTube, documentaries, event recaps) alongside daily short-form output
  • Create content that:
  • Promotes upcoming events and live streams
  • Drives engagement and traffic to our platforms
  • Documents behind-the-scenes growth and operations
  • Work independently to plan content ideas without step-by-step direction
  • Adapt quickly to changing schedules, events, and priorities
  • Organize footage and projects efficiently to keep production moving
  • Maintain brand consistency across platforms

Requirements

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

  • Previous content creation experience (professional, freelance, or brand-based)
  • Proven ability to plan, shoot, and edit video independently
  • Strong understanding of short-form social media content and pacing
  • Ability to balance long-term projects with fast-turnaround daily content
  • Self-starter mindset with strong time management skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have your own equipment, including:
  • Camera
  • Shotgun microphone
  • Laptop capable of video editing

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience creating content for live streams, e-commerce, or events
  • Familiarity with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Shorts strategies
  • Comfort working in a warehouse or live-event environment
  • Interest in gaming, collectibles, or online communities

Schedule & Commitment

  • In-person work required for shooting content
  • Flexible schedule, but availability around events and streams is expected
