Job Description
DIG Media Lab is looking for a freelance Social Media Designer to support a growing B2B startup account. This role is especially well-suited for a student designer or social media content creator who is just starting out and wants hands-on, real-world experience working with a professional brand. You’ll be creating quick, on-brand social media posts using existing brand assets and guidance from our team. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio, sharpen your design skills, and learn how B2B brands show up on social—without needing years of experience. You will work as a subcontractor under DIG Media Lab and collaborate with our strategy and content team.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Design social media graphics for LinkedIn and Instagram (mostly static posts; occasional carousels)
- Use existing brand assets, templates, and guidelines provided by the client
- Turn captions or simple creative direction into clean, clear visual posts
- Make quick updates or revisions based on feedback
- Deliver final assets sized and formatted for social platforms
What We’re Looking For
- A self-starter who is highly efficient, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Basic to intermediate design skills with a strong eye for layout and typography
- Interest in social media, branding, and digital marketing—especially B2B content
- Ability to work quickly while staying on-brand
- Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn
Design Tools
You don’t need to be an expert or use advanced tools. Familiarity with any of the following is great:
- Canva, Social Media Platform tools - Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tiktok
- Figma
- Adobe Express
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Prior social media or design experience (class projects and personal work count)
- Experience working with templates or brand guidelines
- Light motion or animation skills
Engagement Details
- Freelance, hourly role at $50/hour
- Flexible, project-based workload
- Fully remote
