Job Description

We are more than a health system; we are a belief system dedicated to wellness and health improvement. At OhioHealth, we strive to create products and experiences that simplify healthcare and enhance brand awareness. This role supports the OhioHealth Marketing and Communications Department by turning strategies into visual solutions aimed at achieving growth goals. The Graphic Designer will create engaging design concepts for various audiences and manage projects independently, while also collaborating with senior designers and content teams. This position is remote, but candidates must live in or near Central Ohio.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (Required)
  • 1 to 2 years of internship and/or professional graphic design experience in a corporate in-house or agency setting.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating sound design fundamentals and aesthetic judgment.
  • Excellent print design and typography skills.
  • Experience designing within established corporate brand identity standards.
  • Proficiency in a Macintosh-based design environment and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) as well as Microsoft Office 365 (Word and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CRM website platforms (Squarespace or WordPress) and web development (Adobe AfterEffects, Firefly, or Express) is a bonus.
  • Critical-thinking skills, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage individual workload to meet deadlines.
  • Support day-to-day design requests for marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with the digital team for complex graphic requests.
  • Prepare final art and review printers’ proofs prior to production.
  • Support the Sr. Graphic Designer in maintaining visual identity and branding standards.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and brainstorm sessions.
  • Support the Creative Services team in organizing brand assets.
  • Maintain photo assets and print sample filing systems.
  • Stay updated on emergent design trends, technologies, and techniques.
