Job Description

We are seeking a talented Freelance Packaging & Brand Designer to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating innovative packaging solutions and brand designs that resonate with our target audience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design thinking and mechanical knowledge, along with proficiency in various design software. You will collaborate closely with product development teams to ensure that designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and manufacturable.

Responsibilities

• Develop packaging concepts that align with brand identity and market trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and manufacturing to create cohesive design solutions.
• Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks to produce high-quality designs and prototypes.
• Conduct design research to understand consumer preferences and industry standards.
• Create 3D models and renderings using tools like Rhinoceros 3D, KeyShot, and Maya to visualize packaging concepts.
• Ensure all designs meet production requirements while maintaining brand integrity.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for new products and packaging solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in packaging design, materials, and fabrication techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience in graphic design and packaging design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Revit, Creo, and other design software is essential.
• Familiarity with furniture design principles and mechanical design concepts is a plus.
• Experience in product development processes from concept through to manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of CAD applications and fabrication methods related to packaging materials.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
• A creative mindset combined with analytical skills for problem-solving within design constraints.
