Job Title: (PT) Graphic Designer

Schedule: Monday- Friday (20/hrs)

Pay Rate: $23.68

Requirements

Job Duties: Graphic Designer duties include but are not limited to:

• Photography: Photographs city events and members creatively for publications; handles all aspects of photographic production; operates photographic equipment; maintains a repository of photographic images; manages photographic supply inventory; recruits and trains volunteers; provides photography services in emergencies.
• Graphic Design: Provides graphic design and marketing materials for programs, services or events; creates artistic services for communication materials; develops graphic concepts and prepares layouts; produces visuals using software applications.
• Web Page Design: Supports the city’s websites; designs site styles, layouts, and graphics; collaborates with web team and internal customers; adapts content to a web-friendly format; enhances city’s web presence.
• Graphic Art or Illustration: Prepares graphic illustrations from data using hand drawing or desktop publishing software; performs additional graphic art and drafting work as required.
• Perform other job duties as needed based on current workloads and department needs.

Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements

Produce creative materials to promote the City’s programs, services, and events using design principles and graphic design skills; establish and maintain working relationships with city departments, vendors, and suppliers; manage resources effectively; demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and customer focus in problem-solving; create high-quality print material and designs within deadlines; maintain equipment and assess for repairs; demonstrate proficiency in at least two areas of graphic design, photography, graphic art, or web design; direct assignments from concept to production.
