Job Description

Are you passionate about shaping compelling digital narratives and engaging audiences across social media platforms? We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our family-owned iris farm here in the Willamette Valley. This is a temporary position to assist the existing marketing department through our busy season. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies that enhance our brand presence and engage our audience. This role requires a strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation, and public relations, as well as proficiency in various design tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media campaigns across multiple platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest.
• Create compelling content tailored to specific audiences, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals, including posts, reels, stories, etc.
• Manage day-to-day social media activities, including posting updates, responding to comments and messages, and engaging with followers.
• Monitor social media trends and analytics to inform strategy adjustments and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media efforts with broader digital marketing initiatives.
• Design graphics and visuals using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Canva.
• Proofread all content for accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines before publication.
• Take photos and videos during our Bloom Season Event.
• Edit, color correct, and enhance both photos and video footage to align with company branding.
• Organize, upload, and archive digital media files.

Requirements

• Proven experience in social media marketing or digital marketing roles with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
• Instagram reel editing experience is required.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator; experience with video editing is a plus.
• Strong understanding of branding principles, relationship management, public relations strategies, and social media management best practices.
• Ability to craft compelling content tailored for diverse audiences while maintaining brand voice consistency.
• Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for staying current with digital marketing trends, including social media marketing innovations like video editing or new platform features.
• Must be comfortable working long hours in all weather conditions.
• This is not a remote position; all hours are required to be worked onsite at our farm in Salem, Oregon.
• The length of this temporary position will depend on several factors, with an estimated start date of March 1.
• Workdays are generally weekdays; however, during our Bloom Season event in May, weekday and weekend work is required.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
