Freelance Social Video Editor (Remote)

Location: Remote (Seattle-based preferred for occasional in-person work)

Requirements

• Early-career editor, student, or recent graduate
• Strong understanding of social media culture, trends, and pacing
• Creative thinker who enjoys storytelling, not just technical editing
• Reliable, curious, and open to feedback
• Familiar with (or eager to learn about) content rooted in racial justice, gender equity, and economic inequality
• Brings lived experience, cultural awareness, or a deep respect for BIPOC, queer, and trans communities

You do not need agency experience or a traditional resume — just a good eye, strong instincts, and a willingness to grow.

Additional Information

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Editing short-form social videos across platforms
• Creating engaging narratives from provided footage
• Adding pacing, captions, music, and visual elements that feel platform-native
• Translating creative direction into polished content (and occasionally surprising us in a good way)
• Iterating based on feedback and performance insights

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 7 per week
