Job Description

As a temporary Graphic Designer at National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF), you will be part of the Creative Department, which produces a wide array of print, web design, photography, live-action videos, animated videos, digital advertising, museum displays, and social content. Your main focus will be to support the Camp Invention education product, although you will also work on various design projects. You will collaborate with a small team, including an Education Writer, a Video Editor, and a Motion Graphics Designer, and report to the Lead Designer. A passion for designing for kids and a collaborative spirit are essential for this role.

Location: On-site - North Canton, Ohio

Term: One-year project from hire date

Position Responsibilities

• Design, layout, and format materials including typographic, photographic, illustrative, and graphic elements.
• Knowledge of brand communication and digital marketing.
• Create a suitable tone for the creative look of an individual module for K-6th grade.
• Translate designs into print, digital, and video elements for Campers and Instructors.
• Update design items weekly based on research feedback.

Requirements

• Mastery of Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of print production and file preparation.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects, and HTML.
• Strong knowledge of photography, retouching, and file management.
• Strong knowledge of brand communication and digital marketing.
• Medium illustration skills.
• Motivated and detail-oriented.
• Experience working within brand guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Graphic Designer.
