Job Description

We are seeking a Social Media Manager. Ideally, this candidate would work virtually (primarily) and in person (occasionally) 2 - 4 days each week from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Candidates must be proactive, willing to take initiative, organized, ambitious, detail-oriented, and computer savvy.

Requirements

Qualified Candidates Must:

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
• Be willing to take initiative to lead projects and offer creative solutions
• Have a strong interest in social media marketing
• Have experience with Canva
• Have experience with social media sites and paid media advertising, specifically with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
• Have experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Have 4+ years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Marketing, Advertising, or a similar background

Experience with ad sets and paid advertisements is a requirement

Experience editing videos for social media is strongly preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Kwanzaa Crawl social media campaigns on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
• Develop and execute paid media strategies to drive engagement and conversions; monitor analytics to optimize spend and ensure alignment with campaign goals.
• Brainstorm specific marketing goals, metrics, and checkpoints to track engagement and content sharing
• Develop content that engages followers (including past crawlers, future crawlers, and industry professionals)
• Oversee the strategy, development, and timeline of newsletter content; collaborate with the Copywriter and Graphic Designer to ensure timely execution and publication of electronic newsletters
• Manage the development and scheduling of cross-functional communications (e.g., restaurant/bar partners, pop-up shop vendors, marketing partners) to ensure clear, consistent, and timely messaging across teams.
• Edit videos for marketing materials

Additional Information

Pay: $25-27/hr
