Job Description

eVision Media is hiring an experienced Web & Graphic Designer to support client projects on a contract, part-time basis. You will design brand-driven website mockups using Figma or Adobe XD and create polished marketing assets to help entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profit organizations look credible and consistent. This is a remote role with flexible hours, requiring reliability with deadlines and responsiveness in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Website Design (primary):

• Design custom, brand-centric website layouts in Figma or Adobe XD.
• Create organized files for developer handoff, including styles, components, and responsive layouts.
• Build page layouts that support conversions, focusing on information hierarchy and scannability.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, developers, and copy team to ensure alignment with brand positioning.

Graphic Design (secondary):

• Design digital marketing assets including social media graphics, ads, headers, email graphics, lead magnet layouts, and promotional materials.
• Support occasional print pieces, such as business cards and signage.

AI Tools (required, balanced use):

• Utilize AI design tools for workflow efficiency when appropriate.
• Avoid relying on AI for fundamental design, brand thinking, or originality.
• Understand licensing, usage rights, and confidentiality regarding AI tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years professional experience in web design (agency experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in Figma or Adobe XD and other Adobe design apps (comfortable with responsive layouts).
• A portfolio showcasing modern, custom website design and supporting brand/marketing assets.
• Strong written and verbal English skills (must be your primary language).
• Solid knowledge of current UX/UI best practices, including responsive design and accessibility.
• Ability to work from brand guidelines or translate brand discovery into visual systems.

Nice-to-Have (Assets)

• Experience with WordPress builds and developer handoff best practices.
• Understanding of SEO-friendly design (layout clarity, content structure).
• Ability to design within or create light component systems/design libraries.
• Basic motion/animation, short-form ad creative, or video thumbnail experience.

Work Style & Expectations

Remote role located within Canada, offering flexible part-time hours with occasional Zoom meetings. Applicants should keep work organized, name files properly, document decisions, and protect client confidentiality.
