Job Description
Arabian Business is hiring a Social Media Executive to support and grow its digital presence across social platforms through engaging, platform-native content. This role sits at the intersection of content, video, design, and copy, with a strong focus on storytelling that resonates with Arabic and English-speaking audiences.
You will be responsible for creating, editing, and publishing social-first content, adapting editorial stories for social platforms, and representing the brand confidently on camera when required. The role demands creativity, speed, strong editorial judgment, and fluency in Arabic.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a social media executive, content creator, or similar role.
- Strong Arabic language skills (written and spoken) with professional-level English.
- Hands-on experience with video editing and static design for social platforms.
- Strong copywriting skills with an understanding of news, business, and digital storytelling.
- Comfortable and confident appearing on camera for social stories and videos.
- Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and audience behavior in the MENA region.
- Ability to work collaboratively with editorial, video, and social teams.
Key Responsibilities
Social Content Creation & Storytelling
- Create daily social content across platforms including Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Translate editorial stories into engaging, platform-native formats (short videos, reels, stories, carousels, statics).
- Write clear, accurate, and engaging captions and social copy in Arabic and English, aligned with brand tone.
- Support editors and reporters in packaging stories for maximum clarity, reach, and relevance on social platforms.
Video & Visual Production
- Edit short-form and mid-form videos for social using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, or equivalent.
- Design static visuals, carousels, and templates that align with brand guidelines and platform best practices.
- Prepare subtitles, headlines, thumbnails, and on-screen text optimized for mobile consumption.
- Appear on camera when required for stories, explainers, interviews, or live coverage.
Social Publishing & Performance
- Publish content natively and on schedule across all social platforms.
- Track basic performance metrics (views, engagement, completion rate) and apply insights to future content.
- Assist in testing formats, hooks, captions, and visual treatments to improve performance.
Editorial Standards & Workflow
- Operate within newsroom standards for accuracy, verification, attribution, and representation.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced publishing environment.
- Maintain organized files, assets, and version control for reuse and archiving.
