Job Description

We are seeking a self-directed freelancer to take day-to-day ownership of social media for an automotive client. The successful candidate will ensure the account operates smoothly, even in the absence of management. Ideal for individuals who enjoy working autonomously, planning ahead, and being accountable for results.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a content calendar with approximately 30 posts per month across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok with platform-specific captions.
• Supporting a video workflow that includes coordinating with a videographer for about 15 edited videos per month.
• Conducting daily or near-daily checks for comments, messages, and community management following documented guidelines.
• Engaging in light B2B and community interaction to maintain relationships and visibility.
• Implementing and maintaining diverse content buckets for strategic content planning.
• Assisting in monthly performance reporting and translation of key metrics into actionable insights.
• Organizing the content calendar and scheduling for timely post releases without last-minute changes.

Requirements

Qualifications for this role include:

• Ability to work 2–4 weeks ahead with strong time management and forward planning.
• High attention to detail with a quality-control mindset.
• Strategic thinker capable of developing content strategies and suggesting content reuse.
• Self-directed and resourceful with the ability to find answers independently.
• Clear, professional communicator who can provide updates proactively.
• Open to feedback and quick course corrections, viewing them as collaborative input.
• Capacity-aware and honest about workload management to maintain quality.
• Experience managing social media for service-based or local businesses, ideally in automotive.
• Proficient with Microsoft/Google Suite, AI tools, short-form video workflows, content calendars, and analytics.

Additional Information

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Rio Rancho, NM 87124

Initial engagement will consist of a paid two-week trial focused on meeting deadlines, demonstrating follow-through on tasks, and maintaining account productivity with minimal supervision. Upon successful completion of the trial, a month-to-month subcontractor agreement will follow.
