Job Description

We are seeking a creative, self-directed Social Media Content Creator to support our marketing efforts on a part-time contractor basis. This role will focus on planning, creating, and managing engaging content that highlights our team, services, and customer experience. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with a flexible, project-based schedule.

Requirements

• Experience managing social media for a business or brand

• Strong writing and visual storytelling skills

• Proficiency with Canva, Adobe, or similar design tools

• Basic video editing for Reels, TikTok, or Shorts

• Understanding of social media analytics and engagement strategies

• Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines independently

• Ability to visit the office or job sites periodically for content capture

Job Highlights

• Compensation: $25.00-$30.00 per hour (1099 contractor)

• Schedule: Flexible, project-based

• Hours: 10-20 hours per week

• A combination of on-site content capture and remote work

• No benefits are provided, and the schedule will be based on agreed deliverables and content needs.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok

• Capture on-site photos and short-form videos of technicians, jobs, and company culture

• Write captions that align with our brand voice and local service focus

• Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar

• Schedule posts using social media management tools

• Monitor comments and messages, and flag leads or service inquiries to our team

• Track basic performance metrics and provide a simple monthly report

• Stay current on social media trends and recommend new content ideas

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with home services, construction, or trades (not required)

• Experience running or assisting with paid social media ads (not required)
