Here’s what you’d do:

• Drive and advance next-generation digital workplace technology initiatives as a hands-on experienced UI/UX Developer/Programmer.
• Communicate and work with business & technology end users to create and support holistic solutions for high visibility ongoing projects.
• Create ADA compliant Mobile/Web experiences in collaboration with full stack development teams.
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, focusing on ADA/Accessibility compliance standards.
• Research, design, develop, test, build, and integrate UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase.
• Act as designer-developer, switching roles as needed while assisting in decision-making.
• Create clean semantic HTML markup that adheres to WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards.
• Provide support to the customer-facing design system, including new components and templates.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and architects for successful project implementation.
• Stay current on UI framework trends and suggest/implement new tools as needed.
• Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-ups, engaging in user testing and usability reviews.
• Develop reusable interactive patterns and code libraries that comply with W3 standards.
• Work effectively in Agile/Scrum methodologies with cross-functional teams and business analysts.

Requirements

Required skills:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in front-end web application development with strong programming skills in at least one language (Java, React, VUE, Angular on LAMP/MEAN/MERN stack).
• Minimum 5 years of creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end-user needs.
• Minimum 5 years of experience communicating with business and technology users.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ADA Compliance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a UI Front End Developer.

Preferred skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related business degree.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, SharePoint and WordPress CMS.
• UI/UX design or web developer certifications and training.
• Previous experience in the Electric and Gas Utility Industry.
• Exposure to frontend frameworks (Vue.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery).
• Experience with Agile ceremonies and methodologies.
• Familiarity with AJAX, API, HTML, CSS, SQL, and JavaScript (ES5/ES6).

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $50.71/hour

Hours: 40 hours/week

Length: Temp to direct (12 months)
