Graphic Designer

Part Time Freelance | Remote position within the Eastern United States
Askar Brands is seeking a Part Time Freelance Graphic Designer. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating visually appealing assets for print advertisements, promotional posters, brochures, leaflets, standing posters, social media posts, and menus. Experience in branding-related design is a must, and a background in design for the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment is highly favored. This position will directly report to the Vice President of Marketing. We are seeking 10-15 hours per week minimum. Candidates must use their own equipment and demonstrate experience designing for the food service industry with a portfolio. Qualifications

• Understanding brand needs and requirements.
• Developing and creating new ideas graphically to express brand message and identity.
• Working with the marketing team to design and deliver superior advertising, digital, and print campaigns.
• Meeting deadlines for completion of projects.
• Making use of various computer software programs (Adobe Creative Suite) to deliver the final product required by the brand.
• Planning and analyzing with the brand lead or the design team to develop project concepts, timelines, and deliverables.
• Working in coordination with the other departments to ensure alignment of messaging, project scope, presentation, timelines, budget, and deliverables.
• Creating artwork production mechanicals with meticulous attention to detail.
• Working with marketing team members and vendor partners to produce various materials in a timely fashion and assisting with the creation of various presentations and projects.
• Making design changes as required by the brands.

Education and Experience

• 3+ years in a Graphic Design role with proven success in illustration, photo editing, layout, and drawing.
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Jira is required.
• Experience in the development and management of advertising, marketing, email marketing, online and social media programs.
• Experience with restaurant advertising and franchise organizations is a plus.
• Strong layout skills and an eye for clean design.
• Experience in print and web/interface design.
• Proficiency in Windows 10 and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to remain composed in stressful situations.
• Associate degree or equivalent with experience in art, print, digital, visual design or a related field.

Other Information

Pay: $45.00 per hour
