Job Description
Reproductive Village Cryobank seeks a creative, dynamic and collaborative freelance Social Media and Partnerships Manager. This role partners closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to serve as a key ambassador for RVC, embodying its welcoming culture and community-focused mission. The position is responsible for educating audiences about the organization’s mission and values while amplifying its presence across digital channels. By building, engaging, and nurturing the online community, this role helps increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and expand the organization’s reach. Additionally, the position supports growth of the email list, connecting with donors and families to strengthen engagement and foster lasting relationships.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and CMO to integrate new and emerging content strategies into the overarching social media strategy.
- Manage posting on Instagram and Facebook (2x per week) with compelling, mission-driven content designed to engage the audience and drive email sign-ups.
- Repost to highlight partners and community voices on an as-needed basis.
- Integrate key messaging and prompts throughout popular online forums (e.g., Reddit) to foster dialogue and awareness calls to action to drive email sign-ups.
- Monitor online conversations and actively participate to build brand visibility and thought leadership (3x per week).
- Track and analyze social media metrics monthly to inform and optimize content strategies.
- Research and identify high-value opportunities for RVC to be featured or represented — including conferences, podcasts, panels, fireside chats, and relevant media outlets.
- Draft and pitch proposals to event organizers, media producers, and podcast hosts that align with RVC’s mission and audience.
- Maintain a pipeline of upcoming opportunities, including timelines, contacts, and submission requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership to prepare talking points, bios, and other materials needed for appearances or features.
- Monitor industry trends and cultural conversations to proactively suggest timely brand activations.
Engagement & Reporting Structure
- Bi-weekly check-ins with the CMO (weekly during onboarding month).
- Monthly content performance review to identify insights and next steps.
- Regular updates on brand integration opportunities, including success metrics.
Compensation
- $20 per hour
- 8 - 10 hours per week
- Paid monthly
