Job Description

Laiout is a fully automated architectural design tool that generates custom layouts in seconds, delivering insights on costs, carbon emissions, and efficiency. Our clients currently generate millions of m² of layouts through our platform each month, and our growth is accelerating. We are a diverse team focused on rethinking space design, backed by venture capital and global clients. We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to collaborate closely with our Chief Product Officer (CPO) and developers to transform product ideas into intuitive, high-quality user experiences.

Requirements

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer who can bridge the gap between high-level product vision and detailed execution. Responsibilities include:

  • State-Driven Design: Define and document all UI states, including ideal, empty, loading, partial, and error states.
  • CPO Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to the CPO by articulating design decisions and their impact on business KPIs.
  • Figma Mastery: Build and maintain scalable design systems in Figma using advanced features.
  • Interaction Logic: Reason through complex user workflows, ensuring clear communication of state changes.
  • User Feedback: Utilize customer feedback to enhance usability.
  • Research & Discovery: Develop design recommendations from input across various departments.
  • Developer Collaboration: Work closely with developers during design implementation to ensure clarity and practicality.

Who You Are:

  • Figma Expert: Proven experience using Figma for high-fidelity prototyping.
  • Systems Thinker: Ability to anticipate UI responses in various scenarios.
  • Strategic Communicator: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Attention to consistency in UI state changes.
  • Product Thinker: Ability to connect user needs with product goals effectively.
  • Research-Minded: Capability to make recommendations from available input with limited direct user access.
  • Portfolio Evidence: A portfolio demonstrating logic behind navigation and transitions.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in AEC / Architecture / Engineering / Construction / BIM.
  • Startup experience.
