Job Description

This is a remote position for the role of Social Media Community Manager at Ziply Fiber, a local internet service provider dedicated to enhancing the connected lives of the communities it serves. The Social Media Community Manager will oversee our online community presence, focusing on platforms like Reddit. The role combines aspects of social media management, public relations, customer care, and technical expertise, requiring strong judgment and excellent written communication skills to manage sensitive issues in fast-paced, public forums. The role may require working outside traditional hours and will involve cross-functional communication.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in social and online community management.
• Strong knowledge of fiber internet, broadband networks, ISP operations, or related industries.
• Proven experience managing Reddit or similar discussion-heavy communities.
• Strong technical aptitude, capable of engaging with highly informed users.
• Demonstrated experience in PR, crisis communications, incident response, or issue management.
• Excellent written communication skills with a clear, confident tone.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with experience managing multiple customer conversations.
• Experience collaborating with social customer care teams to address customer issues.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience to translate technical information into customer-friendly communication.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Sprinklr or other enterprise social media management platforms.
• Background working closely with network operations or engineering teams.
• Familiarity with social listening, sentiment analysis, and escalation workflows.

Additional Information

Base Salary: $63,855 to $82,993 annually DOE

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US for any employer. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Physical Requirements: The role may involve sitting for prolonged periods, occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, and extensive use of a computer.

Work Environment: The work will be performed in a modern office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of technology.
