Job Description

The Freelance Graphic Designer supports the marketing department by executing creative assets based on established campaign concepts and brand guidelines. This role focuses on production design and visual consistency, ensuring that all materials are polished, cohesive, and aligned with the overall brand standards across The Funplex and Wyndham Hotel properties. Working under the direction of the Assistant Marketing Manager, this position translates approved creative direction into high-quality digital and print deliverables that support marketing campaigns, events, promotions, and operational needs. This role is execution-focused and plays a key part in maintaining visual consistency and efficiency across all marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Execute marketing materials based on provided creative direction, campaign briefs, and brand guidelines, including: digital ads, email graphics, print collateral, signage, menus, event materials, and promotional pieces.
• Ensure strict adherence to brand standards including typography, color usage, logo placement, and visual hierarchy.
• Prepare final production-ready files for print and digital distribution.
• Create versioned assets for multiple properties, seasonal updates, and promotional variations.
• Provide all final source files in organized, editable formats upon project completion.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to efficiently execute and adapt materials while maintaining brand integrity.
• Maintain consistent communication during standard business hours.
• Maintain organized digital asset libraries and file management systems.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Marketing Manager to review priorities, clarify direction, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Consistently meet established deadlines for all assigned projects.
• Support marketing initiatives and in-park graphic needs, with availability for occasional in-person appointments as needed.
• Workload may fluctuate seasonally based on campaign volume and event schedules.
• Other projects as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of professional graphic design experience (hospitality, entertainment, or related industries preferred).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Experience using Canva and familiarity with AI-powered design tools.
• Strong typography, layout, and branding skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Skilled at managing multiple deadlines using structured project management tools.

Additional Information

Rate: $26-$28 per hour

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week (hours may fluctuate seasonally)
